Thermal Imaging is the identification of the paths of infrared heat radiation in panels and electrical switchboards. This is undertaken by using the most advanced infrared imaging technology available in the form of highly sensitive digital cameras, powerful enough to detect any thermal abnormalities, imbalances or 'hotspots' in electrical items.
Safety Procedures Australasia works in close conjunction with the largest Thermal Imaging Company in the country. Using their expertise, we can offer our clients a Nationally Accredited and Quality Assured service, which includes inspection and consultancy as well as the standard imaging operations.
The process is simple and unobtrusive. The thermal imaging is conducted on site during normal working hours, with no disruption to normal daily duties. Trained staff are then directed to all switch boards and facilities, where they are inspected and a high quality, internal digital image is captured. From this image, any electrical irregularities are detected. Voltages can also be inspected upon client request.
A detailed report is issued to the client following the inspection, which includes the images captured, the results of the scan, and recommendations to rectify any faults. The locations are clearly identified and quantified, and regular photographs of the object are displayed, showing all faulty areas and suggestions. This report can be either, printed and mailed, issued in CD form or emailed.
Due to the nature of this type of inspection, and the consideration that all workplaces differ in size, environment and facilities, an individual quotation for your specific site and needs is recommended. We can of course arrange inspections on a National level.
